WHY CONTRAST MATTERS

Should the border be pure white or pure black?

Technically, pure white and pure black can be workable colors. We suggested avoiding them as the entire border in this case because they could look harsh and disconnected from the artwork. A coordinated teal border preserved the brand feel, while the registration mark was chosen separately for contrast.

DO NOT APPROVE COLOR FROM A SCREEN ALONE

Evaluate the printed substrate and sensor response. Metallic inks, matte varnish, transparent film and gloss can produce a different optical result from the PDF preview.
