La solución óptima para la degradación medioambiental de los productos de plástico desechables-Reverte
Abr 26, 2024
We all know that plastic products, especially disposable plastic products, have brought tremendous pressure to our environment. The whole world is looking for a suitable and effective method to solve the problems caused by disposable plastic products to the world.
In this context,we introduce Reverte, a high-tech environmentally friendly degradable masterbatch produced in the UK, which can be said to be the best solution for disposable plastic products.
The disposable plastic products we currently use can be degraded. It takes a very long process-lasting 100 to 200 years. This is because the plastic is made of polyethylene. Depending on the polymerization conditions, polyethylene relative molecular weight ranges from 10,000 to several million. Such a high molecular weight is difficult to degrade in nature in a short period of time.
And Reverte additives through Norrish chemical reaction which through the contact reaction of certain specific metal ions as pre-oxidants, the molecular weight of plastic products can be rapidly reduced to 10000 or even below 5000 in a short time, so that the plastic products can be discarded after being used. It was quickly eaten and eroded by bacteria. In other words, it can be quickly decomposed by nature, just like leaves, the peel is discarded
in nature and quickly decomposed by microorganisms.
The role of Reverte is divided into two parts. The first is that after the disposable plastic product is used, it undergoes light and oxidation, and the Norrish chemical reaction starts within 48 hours, and the molecular weight is reduced; the second is when the molecular weight is reduced to 10,000 or even below 5,000. , Just like organic matter in nature, it can be eaten by microorganism ds and eroded quickly. And it also has a very user-friendly design. When these disposable plastic products are sealed in a box and not used, they will not degrade, and their performance can be preserved for 2 years.
Then how to use the Reverte?Just put into the 1% revert masterbatch into the mixing tank when producing the plastic film, the your plastic film will be biodegradable.
At present, many enterprises choose the starch-based product PLA to achieve the degradation effect. Let’s briefly analyze the advantages and disadvantages of our Reverte and PLA.
First: Adding the Reverte into disposable plastic can make it is directly degraded in nature, even if it is directly discarded, it will not cause environmental problems.
At present, most of PLA plastic products are made of PLA particles mixed with plastic PE particles. The PLA must be partially degraded under composting conditions, and the PE particles will not be degraded. Composting is very complicated. It’s not just by simply burying in the soil. In fact, there are two elements. First, composting facilities, which refer to composting stations or compost bins; second, appropriate conditions, this Refers to the element composition of composting, which requires organic waste and microorganisms, and can only be achieved under certain temperature, humidity and microorganism conditions. These two elements determine the difficulty of composting. We do not have composting facilities. We need to purchase them. We have to pick out the inorganic matter in the garbage to avoid mixing into compostable items, because inorganic matter cannot be composted.
Second: The final products of degradation using Reverte are carbon dioxide and water. It is the result of digestion by microorganisms.
The use of PLA composting will produce high temperature and biogas (methane). As we all know, methane is the main greenhouse gas.
Third: Reverte does not occupy precious food resources.
The use of PLA plastic products actually turns food (most of the PLA raw materials come from corn extraction) into disposable products. With the further shortage of food worldwide, the number of hungry people continues to increase, and any behavior that wastes food will encounter more crises and risks.
Fourth: using Reverte is more economic than PLA.
Fifth: The final products of degradation using Reverte is recyclable before the molecular weight has not dropped to 10,000, they can still become ordinary plastic particles mixed with other plastic particles and reused again.
Currently there is no final conclusion on whether PLA can be recycled and reused for granulation.
