Strict quality inspection process: ensuring high standards for flexible packaging products

Incoming Material Inspection (IMI)

Quality assurance begins the moment raw materials arrive at our facility. To ensure the integrity of materials, we require our suppliers to provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch. Our quality control team also performs rigorous sampling tests on these incoming materials to check several key properties, including:

  • Appearance: ensuring that materials are free from defects and meet visual standards.

  • Tensile Strength: Assessing the material’s ability to withstand forces without breaking.
  • Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) andWater Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR): ensuring that barrier properties meet the necessary criteria for preserving product quality and longevity.

In-Process Inspection

    As the manufacturing process progresses, we continuously monitor various parameters to ensure the product adheres to predefined standards. This phase focuses on:

    • Color Matching and Print Accuracy: utilizing advanced colorimetry tools to ensure accurate replication of designated print colors.
    • Visual Inspection: checking for any surface imperfections or inconsistencies.
    • Dimensional Accuracy: ensuring all products are cut and formed to exact specifications.
    • Material Usage: verifying that materials are utilized correctly according to the production requirements.
    • Composite Strength and Peel Force: testing the integrity of composite structures and the adhesive strength between layers.
    • Curing of Laminates: assessing the curing process to ensure optimal bond strength and durability.

    Final Product Inspection

    Before shipment, each batch undergoes a comprehensive final inspection to confirm that the finished products meet all quality benchmarks:

    • Visual and Dimensional Checks: Final assessment of product appearance and dimensions.
    • Print Quality: Detailed verification of print fidelity and color consistency.
    • Physical Properties: Testing tensile strength, peel force, heat seal strength, and resistance to pendulum impact.
    • Barrier Properties: Confirming that OTR and WVTR are within acceptable ranges.
    • Hygiene and Safety: Testing for solvent residuals, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
    • Durability Tests: Assessing the product’s resistance to compression and its performance in drop tests.
