Why your vacuum bags broke?

Mainly because of two reasons: defective packaging design or vacuum packaging materials:

If your designed packaging size is smaller than your capacity,the pouch must be broken,it often happens at vacuum packaging, because the air is completely removed from the vacuum packaging bag. The packaging film will directly contact the goods inside and tightly wrap the goods, which will reduce the use area of the packaging bag. So when designing the size of the vacuum packaging bag, leave enough extra space is very important.
In addition, because the packaging bag tightly wraps the food, if the food contains hard parts, and if the material of the packaging bag is not hard enough, or the thickness is not thick enough, the hard part will also puncture the packaging bag during transportation and storage.

So normally we will do  following test to inspect the vacuum bag quanlity:

The physical and mechanical properties of food packaging-such as tensile strength and elongation at break, puncture resistance, pendulum impact resistance, peel strength, etc., which can comprehensively judge the toughness, puncture resistance, impact resistance and other physical machinery of the packaging bag wo check whether the performance meets the requirements of packing, storage, stacking and transportation. (It is related to the contents, the size of the packaging bag, the transportation route and the packaging form)

The sealing of food packaging ,such as a burst pressure test, which can determine the location where the bag breaks and where the mechanical strength is weak. For example, the heat-sealing strength test can determine whether the heat- sealing strength meets the requirements of the inside food reqiurment, and determine the poorly sealed parts and the uniformity of the heat-sealing effect.

The leak and sealing strength tester can not only detect the maximum rupture force of the flexible packaging bag, but also test the rupture time of the packaging bag by setting the applied pressure. The stacking structure can be designed according to the test data, and the parameters of the heat sealing process can be further adjusted to improve Packaging effect, or analyze the problems in the packaging structure based on the position of the flexible packaging bag rupture.
